My roommates and I were Justin’s first tenants at the 218 River Meadow property from 2016-2018, we were all students at RIT. Before he renovated, the place was a wreck… to be frank we were nervous. We walked into the house and the appliances, flooring, light fixtures were absolutely brand new, the place was immaculate, it was hard to even believe that it was the same house we saw on Google maps. At that point, we knew that he was not the type of landlord that would collect rent and then never answer his phone. Upon meeting him, my dad told me he felt so relieved that Justin was our landlord, because he could tell he had a lot of heart and that the put so much work into the place. In those two years, if we EVER had an issue around the house, he was there the same day, latest the next day, no matter how big or small. He always let us know when he was going to be entering the house or our rooms and ALWAYS asked if it was okay… as a three female students, we never felt uncomfortable around Justin. He’s the polar opposite of a sleazy landlord. This is by no means a stretch of the imagination, you will never have a landlord that is as caring and as kind as Justin, I never have!
Our household is the 268 Valiant Drive location and Mr. Justin is our landlord but he’s like family to our family. I never met a landlord like him because they don’t make them like him anymore. Mr. Justin ALWAYS show up for any issues immediately when called, him and his wife are so welcoming it is a pleasure to know them. Mr Justin is definitely like no other and his property is absolutely amazing, the best place I ever lived that is well kept hands down. If you get the opportunity to rent his property I promise you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Mr. Justin for all that you do from the Harris family.
I lived at one of Justin’s properties during my last year of college, and I am very lucky that I got to have him as a landlord. Justin and his property exceeded all of our expectations. He was very easy to communicate with and was very respectful, always letting us know beforehand if he was coming—even if he was just going to be grabbing something from his garage that we agreed to share. Justin is always kind, caring, flexible, friendly and super helpful. We could rely on him to be there if we needed help with anything in the house. I even enjoyed just talking with him when he did come around to help with something. From our tour to the time we moved in, it was clear that Justin made sure everything was super clean, in good shape and ready for new tenants. Any renter would be lucky to have him as a landlord and I would recommend Justin and his properties to anybody looking for somewhere to live.
Justin is a wonderful landlord who makes sure his tenants are taken care of and treats you with respect if you take care of the property.
Not only did he offer lawn mowing service free of charge when I lived at 237 River Meadow, but he also replaced the entire fridge and stove with more modern appliances, even when the old ones were still functional. Justin goes out of his way to ensure you have a comfortable home; he once helped solve a power issue when I had left for work – saving the food in my fridge.
After a brief vetting process and chat with Justin, I was able to take over a previous tenant’s lease (sublet), and was offered the option to renew after the sublet ended. After my original lease, I was also offered an extension of 6 months due to my school/job circumstances (something you don’t see from many landlords!)
Lastly, Justin is a great person who works his tail end off making sure his tenants are taken care of. He is always friendly and will often stop for a chat if he has time. I highly recommend Choice One Rental properties for their level of service, promptness in resolving problems with the houses, and friendliness.
